(PAYNE, MORLEY, and SHEPARDSON surnames)
PAYNE
I am looking for information about *Thomas Payne (b: 17 DEC 1833 d: abt 17 DEC 1907), his father, *John and mother, *Fannie. Thomas came from England in 1854 and his parents followed in 1856. I believe they lived in Buckingham, or Ivinghoe, or Hampden. They settled in Berrien Co., Michigan.
Thomas was married in England but left his wife there. He later married the widow of one of his brothers, he had 11 siblings. Joseph and William are the only ones I know of. His last wife was *Zimmah Turner (b: 04 MAY 1866 m: 12 OCT 1887 in Barnsley, Yorkshire). They had *Thomas Jr. and May Bell.
MORLEY
*Ebenezer P. Morley (b: 20 APR 1814, Susquehana Co., Pennsylvania d: 27 OCT 1882, Berrien Co., Michigan). His father was *Thomas Morley and his mother *Sarah, both of England. Thomas and Sarah were married, possibly, in Massachusetts about 1792 and resided in Dauphin and Susquehana Counties., Pennsylvania, and Onondaga Co., New York. Also, possibly around West Bloomfield in the early 1820's. He had a brother, John.
Ebenezer married *Alzina Lansing (b: 24 JUL 1822 d: 25 FEB 1862) on 08 AUG 1840 in Onondaga Co., New York. Their oldest, Maria (b: 26 MAR 1843) was born in Susquehana Co., Pennsylvania. Then three were born in New York, Harriet and Helen (b: 1845) and Charles (b: 1847). They then moved to Berrien Co., Michigan around 1847 and had *Alvin (b: 20 MAR 1850), Henrietta (b: 1852), Horace (b: 1855), Mary (b: 1857), Adelaide (b: 1859), and Stephen (b: 1862).
SHEPARDSON
*Ira Shepardson (b: 15 JUN 1822 in Massachusetts d: 07 SEP 1910) married *Clarissa Cummings on 25 DEC 1847 in Berrien Co., Michigan. Their children were Verome, Edward, Clara, Martha, and *Albert (b: 08 APR 1855 in Berrien Co., Michigan d: 08 APR 1936 in Berrien Co., Michigan).
