We are researching the Yegge branch from Switzerland who came to America in 1852. As the passport #1097 reads: "John Fridolin Jagge at age 53 from Sisseln with his wife and ten children, originally from the Canton of Aargau."

The Yegge branch has been researched by numerous Yegge's to date. I have included this information that has been provided to me. I have been advised of a possible Yegge Reunion in July 2002 in De Witt, Iowa, marking the 150th year of the first Yegge's arrival to the United States! More information to follow as it is provided to me!

Some other surnames we are researching include: Bell, Boehm, Bouse, Bower, Brewer, Carson, Combs, Croussore, Davis, Dooley, Fanning, Gerwick, Hardin, Harnett, Hibbard, Hill, Hupp, Inskeep, Kitterman, Kwester (Quester), Leonard, Merk, Moss, Perkins, Rily, Smith, Spanheimer, Suknot, Washburn, Wellen and Yegge.

We have some Western Outlaws stories that have been floating around the family for years.....I have been researching the truth versus the tales of our relation to John Wesley Hardin of Texas. After years of searching I have finally broken down that brick wall!! I'm still compiling so email me and I'd be happy to share!

Our newest research begins with the Evans' (orinigally of Wales) and Askew families of North Carolina. The surnames: Applewhite, Askew, Best, Blackman, Creech, Evans and Grantham. Our search continues and grows on a daily basis.

Our documents include cemetery records, marriage & death certificates, railroad retirement documents, family bibles, baby books, family photos and countless verbal transcriptions from some very special relatives.

As we continue to "branch out", we will try our best not only to keep up, but properly and ethically record and document the intriguing phases of our ancestors lives.

Please enjoy! We look forward to hearing from you!
