I am just getting started in researching my family tree. I am interested in the descendents of Edward Colburn, born 1618 in England and in descendents of the Eggebraaten, Nelsdatter, Egge, Haugen and Lindevig families originally from Norway. These are my father's ancestors. I am also interested in tracing my mother's family from Poland but have very little information. Her maiden name was Marcheski.

I know that there has been research into the Norwegian ancestors and that there have been reunions, etc. in Minnesota but I have not been in the loop of relatives who have received any recent (last 10 years) information. I am interested in finding out more
