William came to America with his mother after his father, John died in Irland abt 1789

William first purchased land in Irdell county NC, May 1 1791, from John Smith
May 20, 1795, purchased 200 Acres from Andrew Kilpatrick for 110 Pounds, situated southside of South Yadkin River
March 28, 1796 purchased 50 Acres Barton and Anna Dyson for 20 Pounds on the waters of the South Yadkin River.

OHN GIBSON:
Aug 4 1792 Purchased 150 acres from James Maiden

July 21 1795 Purchased 100 Acres from John Simonton for 50 pounds. Situated on the north side of South Yadkin River adjacent to Archbalds corner and James Beaty line. Original tract of land contained 200 acres, granted to John Cooper by NC State d/d Nov. 28, 1794.

Later settled in Mecklenburg County, NC in area known as Cowans Foard along the Catawba River.
