She married ROTHY UDELL WARREN May 17, 1911 in Statesville NC, son of TIMOTHY WARREN and DORA SCOTT.

Notes for NINA LEE HARTNESS:
Nina Warren was a short, large woman who had a love of family and life. She was a Morman and loved family. Ruby Bell Warren was a single mother and had to work so Nina [MeMaw] took to raising David R York Jr untill her Death. She will always be remembered as a loving ,gentel, but strong willed woman.

Nina was a orphan at China Grove North Carolina untill she was of age to go on her own. Than she worked to get her brothers and sisters out. Nothing is known of her parents as of yet.

Rothy Warren was a tall thin man. He lost part of his right thumb in a farming accident when he was young. Rothy was a master electriction by trade and a farmer. Rothy had a love for horses and owned several Tennesee Walkers and gaited horses. Rothy was a WW1 veteran.

Ruby went to work at Roses five & dime in Statesville. Later she was the first lady store manager, for Roses, in Cherryville, North Carolina.

Rex York was a great Musician and played in a lot of the Big Bands on the Eastern Coast during WW2.
Rex would take Ruby, Norma Jean and later David Jr on the road with him. In later life he played in some of the Big Bands on the Strip In Las Vegas. He mainly played the tenner Sax but could play most all the other Big Band instruments. Rex was a Violin Prodigy at a young age.
