1. ROBERT³ WARREN (ARGOLL², HENRY¹) was born Bet. 1722 - 1758 in Surry County VA, and died 1795 in Irdell County, NC. He married MARY.

Notes for ROBERT WARREN:
Robert Warren moved from Virginia to Rowan County (now Alexander), NC
about 1770. He brought with him his wife, infant son William and toddler
James.
He lived on the Lower Little River. He is listed on the 1772 Rowan County
tax list, and on 28 July 1778, he filed a land entry for 150 acres adjoining the
land of Hugh Fox. He was a chain carrier for John Yates' survey crew of 10
August 1779.
Robert served in the Revolutionary War.
He was a wealthy man by pioneer standards. His estate totalled more than
400 pounds, not counting various lands and a widow's dower.
The 1790 census lists at least 3 more females and possibly 1 more male in
the household.

Notes for HUGH WARREN:
Hugh Warren was married three times. His second wife was Katie Garson, his
third wife was Sarah Shook Pope (married in 1868). In the 1840's Hugh moved to
Watauga County, NC, and then, in the 1860's, he moved back to Alexander County.
Hugh had many children.
