This home page is used to establish a family record of the York and Browning families of Eastern Kentucky, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Virginia. Other family names in the linage include Caudill, Brashear, Browning, Adams, Middleton, Lewis, Creech, and Craft.
Most of the families involved arrived in the U.S. prior to 1700 and came through Virginia or Maryland. They progressed west through Virginia and into western Virginia and/or northeastern North Carolina in the Wilkes County area. The initial movement into Kentucky came around 1800. All of the families being researched were in southeastern Kentucky between 1800 and 1840.

Any help would be appreciated.
