Wendy Ann Zabst of Wisconsin

I am in the process of researching the Shepherd family. At the present time I know that my great great grandfather was born in Gillamore, England on January 23, 1863. I'm not sure when he came over to North America or where he landed. I do know that he lived in America for a time and then moved to Canada where he died.

I am also following up on the Zabst side of my family. I Know that John Zabst came over between 1817 and 1824. Again, I am not sure where they came in at or exactly where he was from. There is conficting information in the family. A couple of his children was born in Bavaria, but accourding to his daughter in law, he was from France. This may be due to the changing of the country boundries at that time, but I'm not entirely sure.

I would appreciate any help you may be able to give me. I am willing to share what information I have.
