Greetings to all family members...

This project started out in the summer of 2000 as my son asked, "Where did he come from?" After giving him the basics, he persisted. To make a long story short and after phone calls along with hours/days of research, I established a written history of the families of Zasowski, Tucholski, Klima and Juda that form up my major ancestors. It's only a beginning, but its a start!

If anything that you will appreciate as you search is the fact that our ancestors came here and WANTED to become Americans. They left their families and friends from what is modern day Poland (as this area was controlled by the Russians, Germans, Prussians, Austrians, etc.) as there was major political unrest and uncertainity in this area.

They came her with as little as $4 in their pocket and battled discrimmination, disease, and the Great Depression. The thought about any government subsidies were non existent as in those days, you either made it, or starved. Our ancestors worked their butts off and some even worked themselves to their death...all in the effort to make it in America.

They learned English and assimilated into society. All they wanted was opportunity and FREEDOM. They took advantage of what America provided and succeeded. We should be proud of them and what they accomplished.

My work is far from done, so any information you can contribute would be appreciated.

Until then, God Bless America.
