My wife and I are researching our ancestry in order to pass on to our children and grandchildren, a sense of who they are and where there roots were in the history of our country and the countries of our forefathers. My father was a first generation American. His parents came from a country (Slovenia) that maintained very accurate birth, marriage and death records since the middle ages. My grandmothers family was rooted in the Irish and German migrations to Pennsylvania in the early 1800's. My wife's family on both sides, had been in this country since 1600's or earlier. They also are principally of Irish, English, Welsh and German stock.
