The Zastovnik family is originally from Scarbro, West Virginia. Chester, the father changed the name from "Zastawniak" whose father, Ludwig Zastawniak is an emmigrant from Gdow, Poland. Sally, the mother maiden name is "Zemonek" which was changed from "Ziemianek" whose father, Blaizje, is an emmigrant from Tylemanowa, Poland. Lee married childhood sweetheart Shirley Sue Toney in 1955 after Lee graduated from Va Tech. They have three children, two daughters and a son: Cindy graduated fron Southwest Texas and married Jimmy Acy. They have two sons. Linda graduated from Sam Houston University and a Masters from SMU. She is an Ordained Minister of UMC James graduated from Texas A&M and married Kimberly Meeder, divorced and then married Terri Atthof. S. Sue T. Zastovnik died of cancer in 1998. Lee married M. Jean Fitzgerald Starr of Richardson, TX in 1999. Genealogy research enabled Jean to get a DAR Certificate. Jean died of cancer in 2005. |
