Louise Hermann (daughter of Carl Hermann and Caroline Leno) was born October 16, 1857 in Rosenberg, West Prussia, and died November 20, 1918 in Farmington, MI. She married August Esch Ash on March 17, 1878, son of John Ash and Mary Sebert.

I received Louise' death certificate from the State of Michigan. She died of Influenza in 1918 which was at the time of the Spanish Flu pandemic.
She emigrated from Bremen Germany on the ship American and arrived in New York on 17 Nov 1874. She was listed as a servant. According to my sister, Jackie Belmont, our grandmother, Emma said that Louise was an indentured servant in Germany and came to America after that was done. There was no one to meet her when she arrived.
