I have the family tree from Switzerland going back to 1630. From what I can find, John was named Ignaz and some of the brothers went by more common names when they emigrated to the U.S. I got the tree from Bob Crabb who is my father's first cousin, residing in Appleton WI. He had been to Switzerland and met some of the relatives and visited the home where John Hoff resided as a young man before he came to the United States.
