Welcome! I am researching Johann Pieter Veit of Rowan Co, NC. He arrived in the United States aboard the JAMAICA GALLEY in 1748 and was married to Margehet Eve ???. Johann Pieter Veit eventually changed his name to Peter Fite and raised his family in Rowan Co, NC. His neighbors included the Lentz, Fraley and Crowell families. He died in Rowan Co, NC. His children eventually migrated to middle TN, GA, IL and points west. I hope that the information in the following descendancy trees will help you tie pieces of your family together.
