The John Zentz Family of Tennessee

My research is currently focused on John W. Zentz who was probably born somewhere in PA in 1807. He farmed much of his life in Carroll Co. Ohio where he died in 1889. He was married at least twice. In 1834, John married Ellinor Wyans in Stark Co. OH and had seven children. He married Elizabeth Dayhuff in Carroll Co. OH in 1859 and had one child, my great-grandfather George Dayhuff Zentz who migrated to Nashville in or around 1886. I have tried for several years, and will continue to try, to find a relationship between John W. Zentz and one or more of the documented Zentz lines in MD, PA or OH.

Other surnames I have researched are Hodges, Yeaman, Whitfield, Dayhuff and Meador. Most of my research has centered on these families in middle Tennessee, particularly around Nashville.
