| Greetings! I am researching the families of Burnside/Byrnside. Robert Burnside of Tyrone County,Ulster,Ireland. born:1717 Immigrated from Ireland to Philadelphia in abt.1730 and soon moved to the Beverly grant in Augusta County,Virginia. He was married to Esther Mayes. Many Byrnsides still live in the Hurricane, Putnam County, West Virginia area. I have links with Meadows, Pate, Alford, Moss, McGuffin, Eggleton, Bird, Casdorph. This research is on my mother Xylpha Smith Saunders family. I am also starting to research the Solomon Lafayette Smith Family, Rich and Pate families of Cherokee North Carolina and GA.
