I have just started to research my family history, so all I have is bits and pieces of information that I remember my Grandmother Ruby Zevely telling me before she passed away. My Grandfather passed away when I was in the 6th grade so I never got to talk to him about his family. If there are any Zevely's that read this We are most likely related and any information would be greatly appreciated.
I know that we had relitives in Prineville, Oregon; Washington State and California.
I have photos of the headstones of relitives buried in the Stevensen Washington Cemetary including J.H.Zevely born in Missouri on May 17, 1848 he crossed the plains in a covered wagon at the age of six with his parents who settled at Scio Oregon. Later he went to the Grand Rounde valley in Oregon and finally settled in Prineville for a number of years where he was an extensive stock raiser. In 1921 He moved to Stevenson Washington wife his wife Miss Elizabeth Boyle from Cove Oregon.
They had three children. Mrs. Daisy Hon, Mrs. Rose Klum and Kenneth A. Zevely (my grandfather).
I have a few paper clippings from the Obituaries on a few of them.
