I am researching information on the surnames ZIMMERMAN (Kansas and Germany/Austria), BYERS (Ohio; Kansas; California), LOW-LOWE (Ohio; Maryland; North Carolina; South Carolina), NAYLOR (England; Uxbridge, Ontario; California), ROSBOROUGH-ROSEBOROUGH (Scotland; Ireland; Peterborough, Ontario; California), and BELL (England, Ireland, Peterborough, Ontario).
Gustav(e) ZIMMERMAN came to Leavenworth, Kansas about 1884 from Germany, and his death certificate says he was born in Munich. He married after he emmigrated to the US; his wife's name was Mary or Marie, surname unknown. Her death certificate says she was born in "Bernich, Austria." Both died in Topeka, KS.

Hiram BYERS lived in Bryan, Ohio about 1850 and married Mary Steele on whom I have a good amount of information. Hiram BYERS' son, Curtis Fremont BYERS (aka CF, Fremont, Charles F) married Mary LOW (Lowe)in Ohio, and I am particularly interested in researching her family. Census information indicates Mary's father was born in Maryland and his father in North Carolina and mother in South Carolina. Family lore suggests Mary LOW's father was of the Cherokee tribe.

I have information on the ROSBOROUGH family from Patrick Roseborough in Scotland/Ireland (1608), through Peterborough, Ontario, and a line through South Carolina. The report attached to this page contains an extensive descendent's report from Patrick forward.

I am glad to receive and share information.
