Richard Zimmermann Family Home Page

I'm researching the Zimmermann family of Klockow (Schönfeld)Prenzlau Brandenburg Prussia.

In 1867 Carl Zimmerman arrived in the United States. He settled in Sumner Township Kankakee, Illinois. In 1874 he brought over his father Frederich his mother Albertine, his brother Wilhelm, brother August, sister Auguste and sister Fredericke.

Wilhelm left Sumner Township first to New Ulm, Minnesota then finally arriving a Bertha,Minnesota. He married Whilemia Bulhm Oct 26, 1877. He had ten children.

Auguste married Wilhelm Klocksieben Dec 26, 1874 and they had ten children. They were around the Grant Park area until 1910.

Brother August and sister Freiderike died in 1877 of typoid fever.

Charles (what Carl was called in the US) married Dorothea
Engor May 17,1874. They had no children.
