| This is a story of an average American Family from 1879 to 2008. I have been working on our Family Tree since 1996. What makes my family unique is its size with 363 direct descendants; this count is only from my grandparents! The count is 635 with spouses. Most of the family is accounted for with their personal history, birthdays, anniversary, etc. I have so much information I have collected in the past few years I decided to put all the material together for a book for future generations. I want them know their history of their family and the region where their grandparents settled in coming to America. Besides my grandparents, you will meet some very strong and amazing people. My grandfather Stephen came to America with his parents in 1881 from Austria through Canada when he was 2 years old. He was an only child. His parents purchased 114 acres in Wilcox, PA. I do not know how they settled in that region in Northwest PA. At 16, my grandmother came to America with her parents, brothers and sisters from Czechoslovakia. She was to marry Stephen, it was an arranged marriage. Somehow their parents knew each other from the old country. She was 17 and he was 21 when they married in 1901 in Rasselas. They were married 62 years when my grandmother died in 1963 at the age of 79. This is the story of the family they raised together. Come meet our family………………… |
