"The William Henry Harrison Family of Coffee, County, AL"

There are many genealogists diligently researching the Harrison Family of Coffee County,AL. Many books have been written and countless websites with invaluable information have been created. Even with all the interest and hours of research no one has been able to document all the information that has been made available to other researchers. Because of no existing documents it is vital that we as Harrison Family descendants work together to fill the voids. My ggrandfather William Henry Harrison, son of John A. Harrison and grandson of Grancer Harrison, is not even shown on many family trees because of circumstances that happened in that family when the 1860 census was taken. He was born in 1859 and according to my grandmother who was his daughter, his Mother died at his birth or shortly thereafter and he was raised by his oldest sister, Nancy Jane Elizabeth Harrison Fleming. Nancy raised William Henry (Bill) and also another brother and they are shown on the 1870 census living in the Fleming household and going to school. Our family knows for a fact that William Henry Harrison was Nancy Jane Harrison Fleming's younger brother and the older family members remember Nancy and Lum Fleming visiting William (Bill) and Martha's home. The one thing that is constant in their memories is that Nancy had "the most beautiful clothes and furniture that they had ever seen." I have in my possession William Henry Harrison's photo album and it is filled with pictures of Harrison family members. Most of the pictures have no names written by them but some of them do. I want to share these photos with all the Harrison Family researchers in hopes that together we may be able to identify these precious photos. I am hoping other researchers and there family members may recognize these people. I ask you to please help me put names with these faces by consulting elderly living family members and comparing them to old photos you may have in your possession. All I ask is that you please contact me with any information regarding identity and enjoy the photos. I will be adding more photos over the next few weeks. Please check back.
