17 Jun, 1993 is a day that I will never forget for it is the day that my father, David Ross Zorger, succumbed to cancer. It was shortly there after that I made a commitment to myself, and in his memory, to discover all I could regarding OUR HERITAGE. From a handful of individuals then, to a database in excess of 80,000 individuals now, there is still one part of this Heritage that I have not been able find. My Great Great-grandfather, Frederick Zorger (1817) is parentless. I know that this side of the Zorger Family should (and does) link to Frederick Zorger (1734) but it is one piece of the puzzle that is still missing. I say puzzle because that's what Genealogy is. It is a giant jigsaw puzzle only this one has no ending. In January, 1994 I began a Newsletter and then in January, 1996 I went online in search of answers. In time I know I will find the missing link and in the meantime I will continue making new relatives and exiling those that do not want to except the FACTS. The names that I am currently researching are - on my side Zorger and Cheshire and on my wife's side there is Yancey, Sollee and Blaszczak. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned Veteran - Assumptions do not belong in Genealogy - Leave them for the scientific company. SOMEONE, SOMEWHERE, HAS THE ANSWER. |
