Mrs. Louise Schnegg, aged 84 years, of Powhatan, O., died at5:40 o'clock on Tuesday evening at the home of her daughter, Mrs. CecilCarpenter of Powhatan, after a lengthy illness.
Deceased was the wife of Samuel Schnegg, who died 14 yearsago. She was born at German Hill,Monroe County, O., but spent the greater part of her life in the Powhatanvicinity. She was a daughter ofNikolaus and Rachel Peffer, and was a member of the St. John's EvangelicalChurch of German Hill.
Surviving are three children, George of Clarington, O.;Elbert of Powhatan, and Mrs. Clara Carpenter of Powhatan; ten grandchildren, abrother, George Peffer of Mansfield, O.; and a sister, Mrs. Catherine Zink ofMoundsville.
The remains are at the Grafton, Bauknecht and Mellot FuneralHome at Powhatan and today will be returned to the Carpenter home, whereservices will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock, followed by services atthe St. Johns Church on German Hill. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Hewas born June 19, 1889 in Belmont County, a son of Christian and Mary HendershotSchnegg. He had resided at St.Clairsville for the past six years, moving there from Stewartsville. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Leota FraleySchnegg; two sons, George Paul of St. Clairsville, and Floyd E. Schnegg ofColerain; four sisters, Mrs. Freda Durigg of Shadyside, Mrs. Lotta Hendershotof Beallsville, Mrs. Luella Roth of Bridgeport, and Mrs. Alice Hendershot ofBellaire. The body was taken to theToothman Funeral Home at Jacobsburg, and Friday afternoon will be returned tothe family residents of St. Clairsville. Mrs. Adah Schnegg, 85, diedat four o'clock Monday morning, December 10, 1945, in the home of her daughter,Mrs. Fred Weidle, of Old Cadiz Rd., Bridgeport. Mrs. Schnegg had been seriously ill for the past week. Mrs. Schnegg was born December 3, 1860, atPowhatan, and was a former resident of Scotch Ridge. Her husband, the late John Schnegg preceded her in death November24, 1934, and since then she has made her home with her daughter. She was a member of St. Paul's LutheranChurch at Bridgeport. Surviving are her daughter; one son, Cloyd Schnegg; fivegrandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock at theHeslop Funeral Home, Martins Ferry. Rev. Henry Neumann officiating. Burial was in Upland Cemetery, Yorkville.

Steiner, Dr. D. J., 76 aFollansbee dentist for almost 50 years, died at his home at 541 Gilbert Ave.,at 6:05 A.M. Monday following an illness of five months. Born Jan. 16, 1886, at Powhatan Point, O.,he was the son of the late Theodore and Amelia Schnegg Steiner. He was a graduate of the Ohio State DentalSchool and established a practice in Follansbee following his graduation in1912. He was married on May 20, 1911 toGertrude M. Jenni. He was a member andtrustee of the Follansbee Presbyterian Church. {unreadable) Surviving are his wife; one son, Dr.Starling D. Steiner, practicing medicine for a large Detroit automobile firm;two brothers, George Steiner, and Amos Steiner and two sisters, Mrs. EstherCarpenter and Mrs. Lizzie Walter, all of Powhatan and three grandchildren.
