"ALBERT OLDS, farmer,
Sec. 2 ; P. O. Ashley ;son of Ezra and Theda (Washburn) Olds ; his father was
born in Luzerne Co., Penn., in 1790, and emigrated to Ohio in the spring of
1808-09, settling, for two years, near Galena, and then settled on the farm now
owned by Albert ; his father was in the war of 1812 ; he died Nov. 18, 1848 ;
his mother is living with Mr. Olds, and is 76 years of age ; they had twelve
children-Charles, Miles, Albert, Abigail, Sarah, Mary (infant), John, Benjamin,
Eliza, Milo, Madison ; they were members of M. E. Church ; his father was once
Commissioner of Delaware Co., and was Justice of the Peace for many years; his
first election to this office was in 1813 ; his mother was from New York State;
her father emigrated to Ohio about 1814, settling at Delaware City ; she was
one of nine children. Our subject was born in 1828, in Delaware Co., where he
has always remained. He was married, Dec. 3, 1857, to Louisa, daughter of
Joseph and Charlotte (Loofbourrow) Thurston ; her parents had ten
children-Wilson, Alfred,
Fannie, John, Elmore, Louisa, Jerusha, Lucretia, Della, Clara ; they are now
living in Delaware City; his wife was born Aug. 6, 1839 ; they have seven
children-Willard (deceased), Charles, John, Bertie, Fannie (infant, deceased),
infant born in 1880 ; he has seventy acres in the present farm, the old
homestead of his fathers, and seventy-seven acres in another tract, attained
partly by his own labors and management. They are members of the M. E. Church,
in which he has taken great interest financially as well as spiritually. He
makes a specialty in stock-raising ; his fathers house on this place was used
for the first church spire in this part of the township. The Olds family will
be prominently mentioned in the township history."

The Twenty-third annual reunion of the Thurston family was
held today at Lincoln Park. It was the first outting the family has held at
Marion. About 124 attended the affair
which was featured with a sumptuious picnic dinner at the noon hour served in
the pavilion of the park. The afternoon
was spent in music, games and a program.
Misses Irene Thurston, Lucile Benedict, and Blanche Thurston favored
with piano and vocal selections. Miss
Blanche Thurston is of Houghton, New York.

ASHLEY, O., May 3- Charles
Olds, 81, president of the Farmers Bank at Ashley, died this morning at his
home here. He had been in failing
health for some time. Mr Olds had been
associated with the Bank for many years.
He was also President of the Wormstaff Library Board. An active member of the Methodist Church, he
was also a member of the Ashley I.O.O.F. Lodge and wore a 50-year membership
pin. Surviving are his widow Mame Olds,
a son Harold, of Youngstown, and two brothers, John Olds of Ashley and Ray
Olds, of Toledo. Friends may call at
the home after seven tonight.

NEIL A OLDS
ASHLEY- Neil A Olds, 73,
retired Ashley merchant, died Thursday morning at home. Ill a week, he had suffered a heart
attack. He was the owner of the Olds
Hardware store here until he sold the business in 1958. He was a member of the Ashley Methodist
Church and the Masonic Lodge. Only
survivor is his widow, Edna. Funeral
services will be conducted Saturday at 2pm in the Bennett-Brown funeral home in
Ashley. Burial will be in Marlboro
Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral
home. Officers and members of the
Masonic body will hold memorial rites at the funeral home tonight.

Ashley Thursday. Five tables of Bridge

MRS NEIL OLDS
ASHLEY- Mrs Jennie J Olds, 71, of Ashley died Monday
afternoon in Jane M Case Hospital in Delaware following an extended
illness. Born in Delaware, where she
resided all her life, she was the daughter of Lewis and Ida Ford Jackson. She was a member of the Ashley Methodist Church,
Order of the Eastern Star, and the Delaware Riding Club. She is survived by her husband, Neil Olds,
and several cousins. Services will be
conducted in the Bennett-Brown Funeral Home in Ashley Thursday at 3:30pm.
Burial will be in Marlboro Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after noon Wednesday.
